The 20´s age

The 1920s were an age of dramatic social and political change. For the first time, more Americans lived in cities than on farms. The nation’s total wealth more than doubled between 1920 and 1929, and this economic growth swept many Americans into an affluent but unfamiliar “consumer society.” People from coast to coast bought the same goods (thanks to nationwide advertising and the spread of chain stores), listened to the same music, did the same dances and even used the same slang! Many Americans were uncomfortable with this new, urban, sometimes racy “mass culture”; in fact, for many–even most–people in the United States, the 1920s brought more conflict than celebration. However, for a small handful of young people in the nation’s big cities, the 1920s were roaring indeed.

"Como agua para chocolate"

This novel was writen by Laura Esquivel.
Como agua para chocolate, it´s a novel that talks about a young love that becames in the 50´s.
So it describe how the traditions afects this love and to the main characters, who are: Tita and Pedro.

Tita was the yonger sister of three, she were afect by the tradition that the yongest daugther  can´t get married. She has to take care of her mom, so that inhibit her to realize her love for Pedro. 
She was a quiet person, that always made  her tasks. She was a good daugther even that her mother was so rude with her.

Pedro was the handsome guy that  was in love of Tita. 
He was so in love that he acepted to get maried with her sister, only to be close to her.
He got a son with this girl, but he still loving tita. So when tita´s mother dies, they decided to runaway from the town and die together.

Introduction!!!

For introduction, I would like to say, that I like to have this space to express myself and show who I am, obviously to upload the home works and school stuffs. So I would like to start saying that I´m Mariel, I´m 23 years old and I´m studying for being an English teacher, I´m in 6^th semester, and I can´t wait to finish jajajaj.

I like to take photos, it´s something that I really enjoy, having fun with my friends and family. Another thing that I love, is watching movies, in the cinema, at my house, wherever, one of my favorite movies is “slumdog millionaire”.

 I live with my parents, and I have a sister, and one brother, now, I´m living a beautiful step of my life, because I´m being a mom, and I´m so excited for living this, I feel wonderful, sometimes is hard, but I´m working hard to be a good person for him/her, so I hope it works. And I hope that my school would not be interrupted, or not affects my classes and get my graduation on time; I steel with my classes at my house with two girls and I feel so good that they are learning something from me, I would like to practice more in a school as soon as possible, and get a job.

So this is the most interesting about me, for this moment.
